Day 3 of 4 in Mallorca, this time taking on some mountains, which would reward me with views you could never get bored with, as well as some picturesque villages that cannot be missed…
Day 2 of the Mallorca tour where the ride was full of stops that were more than worth it. Some of the coastal roads were some of the best of the whole trip.
My last trip before moving to Andalusia, and as I was going to leave my old bike in Catalonia, I wanted to give it a good send off. Mallorca seemed like a nice place to do it, so this is part 1 of 4 of the story on this island.
The final day of my 6-day trip from Reus to Murcia (597km). This was 82km from Alicante to Elche and finishing in Murcia.
Day 5 was I day where I was hoping to get some better coastal views of the coast compared to the day before, and the last 10km between Denia and Javea made me feel more confident. Starting the day in Javea was one that needed energy, and a good breakfast in La Cova on PrincipeContinue reading “The Mediterranean Tour Day 5: Javea/Xabia- Alicante/Alacant, 97km”
Day 4 was fairly early start from Valencia, and different day compared to day 3 for many reasons. The road follows the Costa Blanca almost all the way to my next bed, Xabia/ Javea in the Alacant/Alicante province. A mostly flat affair, this day will be remembered for the many timeshares and forests obstructing myContinue reading “The Mediterranean Tour, Day 4: Valencia- Xabia/ Javea, 117km”
Day 3 of the tour was actually the shortest ride of the whole trip, giving me an opportunity to actually slow down a little and enjoy any town for a bit longer than before. Valencia was the next bed for the night, and getting there meant crossing The extensive fields of orange trees, as wellContinue reading “The Mediterranean Tour, Day 3 Castellón de la Plana- Valencia”
Day 2 of 6 on this cycling tour was going to be the biggest challenge I had faced so far, almost doubling the distance from day 1. However I was super excited about reaching the coast and enjoying the seaside towns all along it, which was the main point of the whole trip. Setting offContinue reading “The Mediterranean tour Day 2: Xerta- Castelló/ Castellón de la Plana 147km”
This cycling trip is one of the longest I have done to date (and when COVID-19 no longer poses too many obstacles, I will make sure to go way further), starting from Reus in the Catalan province of Tarragona and finishing in Murcia about 580km away. This plan developed upon setting up my new lifeContinue reading “The Valencian coastal tour, Day 1/6 Reus- Xerta 81km”
Day 2 of this adventure started with a lot of excitement and eagerness to get going despite the change in weather, and soreness in our legs from the previous day. 65km separated us from Gijón, though Oviedo would be where the official Camino de San Salvador would end. We set off later than we otherwiseContinue reading “Camino de San Salvador day 2: Pola de Lena- Oviedo- Gijón”
